Barcelona : Modern Foreign Languages

[Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, Key Stage 5 - A Level]

Barcelona may be the capital of Catalan culture, but it still has plenty to offer groups looking for a Spanish language trip. There is a distinctly Spanish atmosphere that is best experienced strolling along Las Ramblas and through the labyrinth of lanes and alleyways of this iconic metropolis.

Subject Focus:

  • KS 3-5: Take Spanish language practice beyond the classroom, allowing students to engage in spontaneous, unscripted encounters with native speakers.
  • KS 3-5: Develop students' confidence and fluency in speaking Spanish by using it in practical situations.
  • KS 3-5: Better understand the Spanish culture and how it has influenced the development of the language.

Student Outcomes:

  • Develop speaking and listening skills by communicating with native speakers in real-life situations.
  • Boost students' confidence as they learn and test their capabilities.
  • Learn about the Spanish culture and how regional dialects affect the language as a whole.
  • Learn about issues affecting contemporary Spain.

We had a good tour which was well planned and we received excellent advice. The timings were great and allowed pupils to have time on their own.
