The awe inspiring lakes of the French Alps provide the catalyst for some of the most enjoyable water sports and activities that can be had away from the ocean. The crystal clear water is a perfect place to try new activities or develop existing skills and interests.

    Mountain Activities

Within the foot hills and higher up the fertile slopes of The Alps students will find a whole host of adventurous activities and out of season sports to challenge their abilities and expand their skills and strengths.

Once you have torn yourself away from the water there is only one way to go and that's up!

Here are some more sports and activities that will keep your students happy and inspired for hours:

    Via Ferrata

A via ferrata (Italian for iron road) is a mountain route which is equipped with fixed cables, stemples, ladders and bridges. The use of these allows otherwise isolated routes to be joined to create longer routes which are accessible to people with a wide range of climbing abilities. Students can follow via ferratas without needing to use their own ropes and belays and without the risks associated with unprotected scrambling and climbing.

    Rock Climbing

Within The Alps there are hundreds of climbing routes suitable for beginners and experts alike. A climbing trip will encourage students to push their boundaries while inspiring them to believe in their own abilities. When undertaking adventurous activities such as these we ensure that we use only the best climbing companies and provide only the most stringently tested safety equipment.

    Mountain Trekking

Students can soak up the atmosphere at a more leisurely pace as they embark on a mountain trek through the foothills of the Alps. What a great opportunity to sample the fresh air and countryside amidst the evergreen forests and mountain paths that wind across the mountain range.

    Summer Sledging

Once you've climbed up the mountain slope why don't you slide down? Summer sledging takes the hard work out of walking by providing purposely built toboggan runs. This is great fun for students and tour leaders and a must for all lovers of high speed in safe conditions.

    Gorges Du Fier

In between Annecy and Rumilly you will find Les Gorges du Fier, an amazing spectacle that lets visitors walk through ravines and deep gorges that have been carved out of the rock face by the river Fier. A visit here will provide a lovely day out and a great chance for students to practice their photography skills.

    Adventure Playgrounds

There are an abundance of adventure playgrounds and assault courses nestling in the pine forests of the mountain foothills. Whether swinging through the canopy, climbing rope ladders, flying down zip lines or enduring the monkey swing students will be completely secure in their carefully checked harnesses and safety equipment. An exciting challenge or just a fun day in the forest it's up to the individual.

    Further Activities and Sports

If you have the time after exploring the valleys, mountains and water features of the Alps then there is always the opportunity to indulge in some more tried and tested pursuits such as tennis, mini-golf, ice skating and archery.

Included on activities are equipment, instruction and protective clothing and changing facilities are provided where appropriate.
