  • KS 4-5:  Study a range of geological, glacial and other physical phenomena.
  • KS 4-5:  Evaluate the impact of tourism.
  • KS 4-5:  Assess how Icelanders have adapted to best use and adapt to their environment.

  • Develop relevant fieldwork and scientific research techniques.
  • Study an unrivalled range of scientific phenomena close up in a natural environment.
  • Understand the effects of environments on lifestyles and vice versa.
  • Broaden students' out-of-classroom scientific experiences.
  • Examine geothermal power and how it can be harnessed.
