Provence and the surrounding regions have long been inspirational to both tourists and artists alike. A visit here will provide students with endless possibilities for their own art and also give them a depth of appreciation into some of the great pieces of the 20th century.

Subject Focus:

  • KS 3-5: Students can see a wide range of art in the setting in which it was created.
  • KS 3-5: Students can learn about the inspirational region that has been responsible for so much great artwork throughout history.
  • KS 3-5: Students can find inspiration for their own work.

Student Outcomes:

  • Students can see and appreciate a range of art from a number of different contexts and media.
  • Works are shown in their original environment which gives students an understanding of the techniques and inspiration behind the art.
  • Students' own work can benefit from the range of influences on display.
