Surrounding Kilimanjaro are some of the most outstanding scenic areas. Your students can use this opportunity to explore the culture and traditions of the locals as well as the mountain, the wildlife and the amazing Ngorongoro crater which is 18 miles across and almost 1000 feet deep.

Subject Focus:

  • KS 4-5: Visit a local school where students can engage with the local community and discuss local differences.
  • KS 4-5: Students will be able to explore the issues of wildlife conservation and the economic value now placed upon tourism.
  • KS 4-5: Find out how the impact of tourism has affected the local community as well as the Tanzanian economy.
  • KS 4-5: Watch the wildebeest migrate across the Serengeti and receive informed briefs on the animals' behaviour by experienced and knowledgeable guides.
