Valkenburg: History & Battlefields

Thanks to Valkenburg's geographical situation it was constantly threatened by neighbouring countries and the ruins of Valkenburg castle lay testament to a history of seige and conquest. Today, pupils can study the underground system of caves and tunnels built by the Romans and the view from the castle ruins are fantastic.
