Human geography students will greatly enjoy this tour as there are several opportunities to learn about the local communities, the daily challenges that face the South African people as well as visiting the Nature Reserves of the Western Cape. This is a safe educational trip with fun excursions thrown in.

  • KS 4-5 Case study: The vegetation and wildlife of the Western Cape

Student Outcomes:

  • Experience the wide ranging geographical landscapes of South Africa.
  • See local wildlife in their natural environment.
  • Engage with the topic of apartheid, study the legacy of colonial rule and learn of the challenges that face South Africa.
  • Visit the local nature reserves and see the baboons and penguins.
  • Enjoy a traditional Braii (BBQ) and experience authentic live South African Music.
