For the adventurous, the Sports and Active element of this tour includes a surf lesson and a climb up the famous Table Mountain. The activities are built into a 2 week education camp, based in the Paramalat Enviro Centre located close to Cape Town.
Subject Focus:
- KS 4-5: Develop sporting and physical skills through participation during the surf lesson and climbing Table Mountain.
- KS 4-5: Join in with a range of activities such as surfing and hiking.
- KS 4-5: Build confidence and appreciation of the skills needed for personal and team success.
Student Outcomes:
- Understand the privilege of global citizenship and help engage with township communities.
- Learn how to surf in the Indian Ocean.
- Visit the local nature reserves and see the baboons and penguins.
- Enjoy a traditional Braii (BBQ) and experience authentic live South African Music.
- Inspire responsibility and team work ethic through climbing Table Mountain.
