• Choirs, bands and orchestras can perform in a selection of venues in both the Black Forest and the surrounding areas. We love the Baden-Baden bandshell, suitable for most groups and used by the famous Baden-Baden Philharmonic. The covered performing space at beautiful Lake Titisee is also a firm favourite. Strasbourg Cathedral is an inspiring concert venue and afterwards you can see the European parliament building. In contrast, local spa towns such as Bad Peterstal offer lively performance spaces for all groups.

  • Jardin de deux rives, Strasbourg

These gardens straddle the Rhine (and the French-German border) between Strasbourg and Kehl and are linked by the Pont de l’Europe, symbol of the friendship between the two countries. A thriving programme of cultural events including outdoor concerts is arranged in the summer months.

  • Schönwald

We love this picturesque village which hosts summer performances in the local park in the evenings with the Uhrmacher-Ketterer-Halle as an alternative in case of bad weather; this Concert Hall takes its name from Franz Ketterer, a local resident who invented the first cuckoo clocks on 1737.

  • Europa Park

Europe's second largest theme park is split into fifteen different ‘European countries' with roller coasters, water rides and race tracks complimenting scientific, historical and geographical exhibits. Groups are invited to perform at weekends in the summer months with performers gaining free entrance to the park.

  • Guided tour of Freiburg

Explore the University city of Freiburg with its lovely market squares, beautiful Catehdral, Town hall and network of small canals. Choirs of a high standard can sing at Mass in the City’s Cathedral. For groups wishing to perform outdoors, the Stadtgarten is a popular location in the centre of the city.

  • Triberg Waterfalls

Among the tallest waterfalls in Germany the Triberg waterfalls are a series of short waterfalls in the Gutach River. The different walking paths will offer a great experience for youth groups along the river with its flora and fauna.

Measuring 4 meters and weighing about 6 tonnes, the cuckoo clock in the village of Schonach is the largest in the world. Students have the opportunity to actually go inside the clock an purchase their own smaller version of a cuckoo clock.
