    This amazing collection of rock formations offers a great day out for any youth group to enjoy the fresh air and let their imagination run wild as they explore the labyrinth of paths through this unique landscapes.

    This is one of the most impressive Gothic cathedrals that you'll find anywhere in the world and there are traces of every age from the Roman occupation to present day. This is a working place of worship and educational tours and lectures can be arranged to discuss the history of the building and religion's place in contemporary society.

  • York Dungeon

    Follow your ghoulish guide around the cells and manacles of York's dark and gruesome dungeon. Dick Turpin, bloody Vikings, Guy Fawkes and witches, that were burned alive, provide just some of the scary tales linked to York's colourful past. Not for the feint hearted, you have been warned!

  • Jorvik Viking Centre

    Some serious excavations have revealed relics, timbers and artefacts from over 1000 years ago and this exhibition is built right on the site of the Viking-age city of Jorvik. This groundbreaking centre presents an in-depth and interactive look at life in the age of the Vikings and the sights and smells will help pupils to take it all in.

  • Haunted Vaults Tour

    York's rich and varied past presents the ideal environment for one of the best ghost walks in the country! Gothic Abbeys, tombs, towers and vaults all provide a scary insight into the Roman architecture and Victorian stories that are synonymous with the city.
