School Travel Forum
Travelbound is a full member of the School Travel Forum (STF) which is a group of leading school tour operators that promote good practice and safety in school travel.
All full members of the STF adhere to a rigorous Code of Practice and Safety Management Standards which meet the requirements of DfES guidelines and are externally verified each year.
The STF initiative has the support of the following organisations:
SHA - Secondary Heads Association, NAHT - National Association of Head Teachers, ATL - Association of Teachers and Lecturers: the education union, PAT - Professional Association of Teachers

ABTA - Association of British Travel Agents
Members must adhere to a strict code of conduct to ensure consumers are benefiting from the high standards of service and quality and are also financially protected. Members can be identified by the use of the ABTA logo.
"It's ABTA's role to ensure that you, the customer, benefit from consistently high standards of trading practice in the travel industry; that the standards of service and business throughout the membership are of the highest calibre" (ABTA, 2008).
IATA - International Air Transport Association
This organisation strives to achieve the highest standards within the aviation industry and being a member of IATA represents our commitment to our customer's, not simply finance and safety but for quality and high standards also.
"Safety is IATA's number one priority, and IATA's goal is to continually improve safety standards" (IATA, 2008).
ATOL - Air Traffic Organisers License
ATOL is a protection scheme for air holidays and flights to regulate all tour operators and travel firms selling air holiday packages and flights in the UK. They are required by law to hold a license called an Air Travel Organiser's Licence ("ATOL").
"An ATOL protects you from losing money or being stranded abroad if the tour operator goes out of business. If a licensed firm goes out of business, the CAA can give refunds to people who can't travel and arrange for people abroad to fly home"(CAA, 2008)
