Students have the chance to meet village communities, doctors from westernised clinics, scientists and teachers from Amazonian Peru. Apart from having a once in a lifetime experience, students will leave Peru full of confidence, knowledge and a sense of world-wide responsibility.
Subject Focus:
•KS 5: Engage with members of the local community, village inhabitants, local schools and local medical clinics.
•KS 5: Establish an excellent understanding of the cultural diversity, religious beliefs and influences of the early European explorers.
•KS 5: This tour will bring students face-to-face with a health organisation that is working to bring modern medical knowledge to the area.
•KS 5: Locating themselves as a global citizen with the Central American community and understanding the diversity of the world.
•KS 5: Assess how remote communities are starting to interact with the Western World.
