• Marrakech provides a glimpse of Africa where food is colourful, intriguing and sometimes downright shocking! Our tours take you on a journey through bazaars, markets and outside kitchens where pupils will learn how to prepare and cook traditional Moroccan meals such as tagines, brochettes and couscous. School groups will also find out more about the people of Northern Africa and how their way of life, predominantly Muslim, affects what and how they eat.

  • Morrocan Cookery Course

    The wonderful hotel, Les Jardins de la Medina, provides the venue for your traditional Moroccan cookery course. Pupils will receive a morning's training in how to complete a 3-course meal and will get to sample the results for lunch. The dishes will include: home made bread, Moroccan salad, lemon chicken tagine and Grhiba dessert (Moroccan pastries).

  • A Day in the life of a Berber

    This is a great opportunity for pupils to have an adventure and see how Berber villagers live. Tea will be taken within the home of a villager and there will be a chance to find out how to make traditional Moroccan bread. The backdrop of the Atlas Mountains landscape makes this an unforgettable experience and the tagine meal will be one of the best you've ever tried!

  • La Valee Restaurant

    This restaurant offers some wonderful examples of Moroccan cuisine including: kalia, harira, tagine and brochettes. Pupils will have the chance to sample the best dishes of the region and the most well known Moroccan delicacies and pastries.

  • Jemaa el Fna Square

    This is the main square of Marrakech's old city and as such provides a wonderful array of stalls, performers and food. There is always something going on and this gives pupils the opportunity to really soak up the mystical atmosphere of Morocco and her people. Food can be brought from the market ready to be prepared for the evening's meal.
