Day 1

Flight to Berlin – about 1.5 hours
Coach transfer to accommodation included
City walking tour to see the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Memorial, Unter den Linden, etc. – half-day guide included. Flight time permitting
Evening meal included

Day 2

Breakfast included
Berlin sightseeing - we suggest the Jewish Museum, Checkpoint Charlie, The Topography of Terror and the Eastside Gallery
Overnight travel by coach to Krakow included - journey time about 10 hours - evening meal included

Day 3

Breakfast included
Guided walking tour of the Jewish quarter and Schindler’s factory - included
Free time in the Old Town
Evening meal included

Day 4

Breakfast included
Guided visit to Auschwitz included
Shopping trip
We suggest a folklore evening - evening meal included

Day 5

Breakfast included
Galicja Jewish Museum and meet with a Holocaust Survivor - included. Flight time permitting
Return flight Krakow to the UK – about 2.5 hours

These two contrasting cities are ideal for studying Modern European History, WWII and the Cold War. This trip will be very thought-provoking.
