• Our Château du Molay is an ideal base for groups who want an active and educational school trip. Teachers looking for sports tours, outdoors activities or a chance for students to try out water sports can use the Château's accommodation, experienced staff and facilities.     • In conjunction with local professional sports teams we can organise the tickets and travel to live sporting contests.
    • Caen RFC offer first-class opposition to any rugby team and the French first division side AS Caen FC regularly host the likes of Paris St Germain and Marseille.
    • Depending on the time of your visit we can arrange for your group to see a live match to compare French standards and possibly pick up a few tips.

    • No matter what your group's favourite sport, we are sure that we can provide the best facilities and equipment to match their expectations.
    • Our new multi-purpose sports court is perfect for lovers of: 5-a-side football, tennis, basketball and netball.

  • Rugby & Football Pitch
    • Our brand NEW football and rugby pitch has just been laid and is now ready to accommodate school teams wanting to train, learn and play.
    • Your group will have the opportunity to compete against local teams or against teams invited from the UK.
    • This pitch is special not only because it has been developed to a professional standard but also because it's been given the thumbs up by none other than rugby legend Brian Ashton!

     

  • Brand new Rugby/football pitch

    Our new surface is endorsed by superstar groundsman Jason Booth, head groundsman at the Headingley Carnegie Stadium in Leeds - home of Leeds Carnegie RU side who play in the Guinness Premiership and RL Super League Champions: Leeds Rhino's. Jason has been voted Groundsman of the Year twice and regularly visits the chateau to consult with the pitch maintenance team.

  • Orienteering

    Once you've mastered how to use a map and compass you'll never get lost again! This is a great opportunity for pupils to race against each other as they search for fixed grid references and compass points.

  • Blind Trail

    This is great fun and requires trust, team work and a high level of communication. Participants take it in turns to lead their team through a rope course, in between trees and around obstacles all whilst blind-folded!

  • Initiative Exercises

    We've created lots of fiendishly deceptive schemes to encourage lateral thinking and teamwork. With the help of a trained chateau instructor see if your team can work out: Giant's Fingers, Birthday Bench and the famous Spider's Web!

  • Brand NEW Multi-sports Court

    This fantastic playing surface can be used for: basketball, 5-a-side football, tennis and netball. Instructors can help to arrange mini-tournaments and give advice on how to play and how to improve. All equipment is available upon request.

  • Archery

    We have three archery targets safely located within the chateau activities area. All young archers will be closely supervised by our trained instructor and will learn about several aspects of modern archery including safety and bow work.

    Location: Le Molay Littry

    Facilities: The Château offers accommodation for up to 195 persons in 42 rooms furnished to a high standard, all offering full private facilities. Other benefits of this substantial property include a number of meeting rooms, a library, a games room, a TV lounge area, a classroom facility and a bar. An outdoor heated swimming pool is available from the end of May to the beginning of September and other on-site activities include: archery, tennis, 5-a-side football, basketball and use of our brand new Grade A rugby/football pitch. 

    Capacity: 195 Beds / 42 Rooms

  • King Hotel

    Location: Centre of the small fishing village of Port en Bessin located 100 metres from the harbour. Close to Arromanches and therefore ideally situated for exploring the D Day landing beaches.

    Facilities: 2 star modern hotel with 6 bedded rooms, all with private facilities. There is also a dining room which can be used for meetings.

    Capacity: 140 beds

  • Le Bon Sejour

    Location: Le Bon Sejour is located in a small, friendly seaside resort with direct access to a magnificent sandy beach and within close proximity to the local square with open air bars, restaurants and shops.  

    Facilities: Modern with 4 bedded rooms, all with private facilities, large entertainment room with bar, a large activities room with stage, excellent classrooms and teachers' lounge. Other facilities include: crazy golf, tennis court, table tennis and a volleyball court in the summer.

    Capacity: 74 rooms
