• Paris is an inspirational city for art and design trips. Lecturers & Teachers looking to broaden students' artistic horizons and develop their understanding of great artists don't have to take their classes far. In Paris, groups can visit some of the best galleries in the world, pausing for coffee in the cafés in Montmartre where some of the most important artists of the 20th century developed their ideas.

  • The Eiffel Tower

What school trip would be complete without visiting one of the most iconic structures in human history? The Eiffel Tower stands at 324 metres watching over the city of Paris. Named after its designer Gustave Eiffel and with unbeatable views, students’ educational trips will be greatly enhanced and memories made to inspire for a lifetime.

  • Claude Monet Foundation at Giverny

Visit the home of Claude Monet where he lived for almost forty-three years. With a passion for gardening as well as for colours, he produced both his flower garden and water garden as true works of art.  Walking through his house and gardens, students can still feel the atmosphere which reigned at the home of the Master of Impressionism and admire the floral compositions which inspired the artist.

  • Marmottan

The museum offers a rare opportunity to learn about the Impressionist movement in an in-depth way. The collections here give students the ability to spark appreciation for lesser-known artists.

  • National Museum of Ceramics

This Museum, dedicated to everything made of ceramic, will excite students at how beautifully finished the objects are - fine details, gorgeous colours, exquisite paintings. The objects include vases, plates, tureens, watering cans, teacups and saucers, busts of famous people and decorative pots in fanciful shapes such as animals.

  • L’Orangerie

This art gallery occupies post-impressionist paintings and works by Paul Cézanne, Henri Matisse, Amedeo Modigliani, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Henri Rousseau, Chaim Soutine, Alfred Sisley and Maurice Utrillo among others.

  • Musee Maillol

The museum contains traditional French work such as paintings, sculptures and drawings along with conventional abstract collections. Students will have the ability to grasp the development of French art.

  • Rodin Museum

Displays works by the French sculptor Auguste Rodin. Rodin used the Hôtel Biron as his residence from 1908, and subsequently donated his entire collection of sculptures to the French state on the condition that they turn the building into a museum dedicated to his works. Many of his sculptures are displayed in the museum's extensive garden.

  • Jeu De Paume

The creation of art requires fluency in a number of media. Jeu de Paume will inspire students interested in photographic media, moving or still, showing them that art is not simply created by hand and nor does it have to be static.

  • Musée Picasso

Discover Picasso's work through the many periods of his life. This collection allows students to trace his development and influences, as well as being able to see a collection of his contemporaries' artwork. This is a great opportunity to see a snapshot of how Western European art has developed through the twentieth century.

  • Musée du Louvre

The largest museum in the world, home of the Mona Lisa along with works by masters from the most important, influential and exciting movements in the world, as well as essentially French works such as those by Jacques-Louis David. Teachers looking to expand their students' contextual studies and influences can also explore the museum's vast collection of Islamic art and artefacts from the Middle East.

  • Musée D'Orsay

For those looking for a specifically French experience, the Musée D'Orsay's collection is unparalleled. Renoir, Monet and Cézanne are just a few of the famous French names represented, while Van Gogh and Whistler bring a slightly different flavour to the paintings and sculptures.
