  • Antwerp Diamond Museum

    Being the largest diamond museum in the world, Antwerp Diamond Museum has a lot of offer your students. The museum has interactive displays showcasing the mining and cutting processes and polishing demonstrations take place Saturday afternoons. The museum has items that date back to the 16th century and beautiful items from the present day. 

  • Airport Zaventem

    At the Zaventem Airport your group can have a tour behind the scenes of Belgium's major international airport where you can discover how the operations work. There are different tours available for your students who will explore the airport on a two-hour walk through the passenger terminal.
     

  • Duval Chocolate Factory

    This is a great opportunity for your students to learn all about the art of chocolate making. Your students will be able to witness the manual production of the chocolates including tempering, preparation and filling the casts, de-moulding and packing. Don't worry as after being tempted with how the chocolates are made you will get to try how the chocolates taste! 

  • Wissels Gin Distillery

    During your visit student will have a tour round the distillery giving the students a chance to experience the entire distillation process and will be able to ask questions. At the end of the tour there will be a chance to visit the distillery shop and also sample some of the product! 

  • The National Bank of Belgium

    The National Bank of Belgium takes on many tasks such as the issuing and printing of euro banknotes, management of foreign currency reserves and services for the Belgium State, Belgium financial sector, and for the general public. 

  • In Bev Breweries

    Students will enjoy a trip to the home of the famous Stella Artois brand in Leuven. Interbrew has a portfolio of more than 200 brands, including Stella Artois®, Brahma® and Beck's® which are its three globally famous brands. Interbrew run operations in 32 countries across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. During your guided tour you will see the brewing hall, the filtration and filling plant and have an opportunity to taste the iconic Stella Artois. 

  • Port of Antwerp

    Import/export, storage, distribution and production are the main business of this port. In 2007 the port of Antwerp handled 182,896,788 tonnes of freight thus representing a growth of 9.3% compared with 167 million tonnes in 2006.

  • European Commission

    This is the other important EU institution based in Brussels. The Commission sets the direction of the EU, proposing legislation and implementing it. Visiting this institution allows students to see the concluding part of the EU in action.

  • Parliament of the EU

    The Parliament and the Council of the EU constitute its two legislative arms. Seeing the parliament in session (when it is in Brussels) allows students to see how local concerns and debates are handled on a European stage.

  • Council of the European Union

    Brussels is also home to the Council of the European Union. The Council is comprised of 27 national ministers who discuss and make important decisions. It has many responsibilities of which students can learn about when visiting this significantly important attraction.
