• One of the Dubai's governmental strategies is to maintain and increase the flow of foreign cash by means of tourism. The ever growing city of Dubai is continuing to create resorts to rival Las Vegas and is home to the only 7* hotel in the world. To compliment this, the UAE are now major players within the airline industry with Etihad being voted the ‘World's Leading Airline' for the second year running in 2010. Dubai shopping has always been the top of every tourist's agenda; however, Dubai is ever increasing their cultural excursions and examples include desert safaris and Dubai Museum.

  • Sheikh Zayed Road

    The longest road in the UAE stretches from Al Silah in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and ends in Ras Al Khaimah emirate at the Oman border, running roughly parallel to UAE's coastline along the Persian Gulf. The road forms the main artery in some emirates' main cities, where it assumes various alternate names - Sheikh Maktoum Road in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, and Sheikh Muhammed bin Salem Road in Ras Al Khaimah.

  • Burj Khalifa

    No trip to Dubai would be complete without a visit to see the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa. The Burj Khalifa skyscraper is a world-class destination and the magnificent centrepiece of Downtown Dubai, Dubai's new urban masterpiece. The world's tallest building is surrounded by hotels, must-visit shopping destinations and a world of entertainment options. It is a really exciting sight for your students.

  • Ski Dubai

    Ski Dubai in Dubai Emirates Mall started in December 2005 is the worlds' third largest indoor ski slope, measuring 400 meters and using 6000 tons of snow. A second indoors ski slope is the Dubai Sunny Mountain Ski Dome in Dubai Land which is not open yet. It will provide a great attraction, featuring a revolving ski slope, an artificial mountain range, an ice bridge, a cable lift, a snow maze, an ice slide, polar bears cold water-aquaria and special sound and light effects.

  • Dubai Museum

    Dubai's oldest building, Al Fahidi Fort in Bur Dubai, built in 1787, now houses the Dubai Museum. A collection of artifacts depicts the social and economic life of Dubai before oil was discovered and includes 4000-year-old archaeological objects. Along with pottery, metallic items, stone engravings and skeletons discovered during digs in the Emirate of Dubai, the museum boasts a large section devoted to musical instruments and one to deadly weaponry, including curved daggers, swords, spears and shields made of sharkskin.

  • Dubai Festival City

    The large residential and business entertainment development is doted as a ‘city within a city'. The project is still ongoing and is expected to be a major tourist attraction which will include all elements for work, living and leisure.

  • Mall of the Emirates

    This huge mall includes leisure, shopping and entertainment venues which attract thousands. Along with 500 shops, the centre boasts a Magic Planet family entertainment area, a 14-screen multiplex cinema, the world-renowned Ski Dubai, a five star Kempinski Hotel, the Mall's 500-seat DUCTAC community theatre and accompanying arts centre, and 70 coffee shops and restaurants.

  • Al Maha Desert Resort

    Travel students will benefit greatly from a visit to this resort to see how it has expanded into the popular tourist destination it is today. They will get to analyse and evaluate all the aspects into making this resort so successful.

  • Burj Al Arab

    The Burj Al Arab or otherwise known as the Tower of the Arabs is a 5-star rated luxury hotel. At 321m it is the fourth tallest hotel in the world. The Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island 280m out from Jumeirah beach and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. It is an iconic structure whose shape mimics the sail of a ship making it very beautiful and graceful in appearance.

  • Palm Islands & Palm Jumeirah

    The Palm Jumeirah are artificial archipelagos created using land reclamation by Nakheel, a company owned by the Dubai government in United Arab Emirates. It is one of three islands called the Palm Islands which extend into the Persian Gulf, increasing Dubai's shoreline by a total of 320 miles. The Palm Jumeirah is the smallest and the original of three Palm Islands (Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira) under development by Nakheel.
