I have always been passionate about travel and working in an environment of like-minded travel enthusiasts is a great bonus in bringing together memorable school trips for my schools. Having been brought up in a rural French town by English parents, I’ve had a natural desire to explore and embrace cultures. I left the vineyards and sunflower fields of the French countryside to return to the UK and study languages at university. France still feels like home for me with my parents still residing out there, plus the taste for French cheese and croissants is unlikely to fade!
I absolutely love Spanish and have been lucky enough to work a year as a Teaching Assistant in Bilbao before spending a year in the warm climate of Lanzarote. Prior to joining the Travelbound team, I spent 8 months teaching English in Mexico City and made the most of the opportunity to explore South America.
Favourite city: Although the weather isn’t always the best, I would have to pick Bilbao in the north of Spain. I spent the best year of my life there and it’s such a cool city often overlooked. The food is incredible and there’s something for everyone, whether it’s the beach, shopping or the beautiful architecture. My favourite part of the city is the Old Town where you can find small cobblestoned alleys with quirky shops and local bars serving delicious seafood - the place is buzzing.
About me: Last year I climbed the Pyramid of the Sun set in the ancient city of Teotihuacan in Mexico. It’s the third largest pyramid in the world and provided me with a truly incredible view along the Avenue of the Dead!
