What to expect at Expo Milano 2015
In a world forever evolving, it's not only household hardware that is constantly developing. The Universal Exhibition brings to the forefront of our attention new technologies that will help build a future for healthy, safe and sufficient food for all.
Over 140 participating countries come together to showcase the latest and best technology and concepts in a bid to provide a planet-friendly and sustainable option for food production. With a huge exhibition area, the exhibition acts a great platform for students to explore ideas on the theme of food. Groups will be able to taste a broad range of food and also learn more about traditional dishes from exhibitor countries.
Exploring the concept: 'Feeding the Planet | Energy for Life'
There is a war we should all be fighting. It is a war against hunger as malnourishment and starvation continue to reign. Expo Milano will place emphasis on how we can all make conscious choices politically and within our lifestyles to promote sustainability and appropriate consumption of our world's resources. Students have the chance to interact with exhibitions and begin to formulate their own ideas for future sustainable food technologies.
Students can visit a number of exhibitions within the Expo's 'Cluster'. These include videos, installations and photo exhibitions detailing the Universal Exhibition's exploration of food.
