Tips for travelling around China with students

  • Tipping is customary and the suggested amounts are $2 per person per day for a national guide, local guides and $1.50 per person per day for drivers.
  • Tap water is not drinkable in China. We recommend buying bottles of mineral water or boiling water in the electric kettle in the hotel for consumption.
  • We recommend bringing comfortable shoes, as often itineraries involve a lot of walking and long days to incorporate as much as possible in each destination.
