On a tour of this brewery, students can see how the popular German beer Berliner Pilsner is produced and how it adapts to and shapes the tastes of its target market. They can get up close to the modern technological processes that are used to make and maintain the quality of the product.

02 Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg

These studios are famous for producing many German interview and quiz shows. Students can take a tour and find out about the day-to-day activites that take place here to ensure the shows run smoothly. 03 BMW Werk Berlin

Find out how this world-famous brand builds BMW motorcycles at their birthplace in Berlin. Students can experience the highly modern vehicle production, in which man and machine work together to create the vehicles. This excursion will not only suit those interested in the manufacturing of engines but inspire art and technology students to consider the science and design behind the vehicles. 04 BBI Airport Schönefeld

Take a guided tour of the airport by bus, starting at the info tower with an overview of Schönefeld and the construction site of its upcoming replacement – Berlin Brandenberg Airport. The bus then takes you through the through the 960-hectare site and the latest construction activities. Guided bicycle tours are also offered and tours can be arranged in English.

05 Berlin City Cleaning (Berliner Stadtreinigung)

Guided tours are offered to give students gain a real-world understanding of the issues surrounding street cleaning, waste disposal and recycling. Potential sites to visit include the civic amenity site, garbage incineration site and waste transfer station. Students see exactly how these facilities operate and deal with the Berlin’s rubbish and recycling.

06 Tempelhof Airport

Tempelhof Airport’s main building served in World War II as a weapons production site using forced labour, but was also a gateway to freedom during the division of Germany. Take an insightful walking tour of the most interesting parts of this huge structure. You can also take a tour of the emerging park landscape of the surrounding Tempelhofer Freiheit.
