Most college and university art & design trips run for 3-4 nights, which is enough time to cover 3-4 major galleries or excursions without overloading the itinerary. Shorter European city breaks (Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Copenhagen) typically run for 3 nights, while long-haul destinations like Tokyo and New York are usually 4 nights to account for travel time and jet lag. However, Travelbound can adjust your timeline and itinerary to suit your requirements should you hope to take a longer or shorter trip.
Paris and Amsterdam lean toward fine art and contextual studies with their strength in classical, impressionist and post-impressionist collections. Barcelona and Copenhagen are better suited to product, architecture and graphic design students, thanks to Gaudi’s buildings and Denmark’s design museums, while Tokyo and New York offer the widest crossover, spanning fashion, photography, street art and design in a single trip.
Yes! Any trip combining flights and accommodation should be ATOL protected, and coach-based European trips should be ABTA protected so that your students and your institution are protected if something goes wrong.
