Your students’ safety is our number one priority. Every Travelbound tour is underpinned by a robust health and safety framework, ensuring peace of mind for teachers, parents, and students alike.
As a full member of the School Travel Forum (STF) and holder of the Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) Quality Badge, we operate to the highest standards of care and responsibility.
Our Safety Management System follows the recognised ‘Plan, Do, Check, Act’ cycle, and is independently audited every year.
We go beyond compliance to deliver exceptional safety measures.
Accommodation and transport:
Every supplier meets STF requirements, holds valid licences and insurance, and passes our own rigorous safety checks.
Activities and excursions:
All activities conform to STF guidelines, with regular audits and risk assessments for attractions and adventurous activities.
We provide practical safety information before departure, including risk assessment guidance. Want to visit your destination in advance? We offer two nights’ bed and breakfast for Party Leaders completing pre-tour checks.
Our team is trained to support safe educational visits. We recommend schools follow OEAP National Guidance and complete Visit Leader and EVC Training via EVOLVE Advice.
We maintain a comprehensive Incident Management Plan, tested regularly and supported by a 24-hour emergency helpline. Every incident is logged, reviewed, and acted upon.
For any medical emergencies, we urge groups to follow their emergency procedures, and additionally contact the local emergency services using the number provided by the FCDO Travel Advice.
We protect you every step of the way:
We uphold strict child protection policies and work closely with Party Leaders to accommodate special educational needs, allergies, and dietary requirements. Our goal: inclusive, safe learning for every student.
We have put together Guidance Information to assist with the trip planning so that the trip runs as smoothly as possible.
